Closely guided and supported by their teachers and mentors, children enjoy a wide range of activities that fire their imagination, develop their social awareness, motor skills and coordination. These activities include games, sports, musical and art projects as well as quiet periods of relaxation and busy periods of social interaction.

We aim to encourage in each child a life long appetite for learning. Having settled into the friendly relaxed atmosphere at the “international School Heiligenhaus“, the children enter the reception curriculum, which is designed to introduce a range of subjects, organised as topics, leading towards the building of self confidence through a pupil centred programme of academic study.

The academic goals of the reception year are formalised in the lower school, as the children start to enjoy growing into the community of year groups.

School uniform
The school Uniform is compulsory for all pupils visiting the “International School Heiligenhaus“. All items are available from the school. Further information will be sent out with the information for the new-joiners.

Lunch
Teachers and pupils daily come together and eat lunch together. These times offer the chance to discuss and talk in a relaxed environment. Balanced and healthy warm meals are of the well being of each child.

Extracurricular activities
Sport at Heiligenhaus offers tremendous opportunities. Athletics and football, golf and swimming, cycling and judo are possible options. Various extracurricular activities are offered as the school has fully equipped training workshops, a theatre, potter‘s workshops and training kitchens…
